VariTab, the bi-layer pebble for shock and long-lasting disinfection (without copper sulphate)

The advantages of the bi-layer pebble:

• Everybody know that the hygiene of swimming pool water is important. People want for your family and yourself a water that does not only look superficial but is perfectly clean. So VariTab is good news for you.
• VariTab sets a new level for water quality, the speed of dissolution of the VariTab pebble varies according to 2 phases, thus achieving several disinfection and cleaning activities in stages. The intake is by the skimmer. VariTab is made for sand filters.

Phase 1: Shock Chlorination

• The upper blue pebble dissolves after 10 minutes. Some of the chlorine is contained in the blue tablet a fast-dissolving chlorine, it is transported immediately into the pool's water through the sand filter. There is shock chlorination: the chlorine content increases in the short term, which allows an elimination of turbidities and bacteria in the water.
• The filter is also cleaned and disinfected during this step (shock chlorination).
• VariTab is an intelligent product: the other part of the chlorine is contained in the blue pebble and consists of large granules of slow dissolution. These are deposited on the surface of the sand filter and cause 30 to 60 minutes of intensive cleaning and disinfection of the filter. This is particularly important, as the most common reasons of poor water quality is a filter containing germs or fouled heavily. Studies have shown that every other filter contains germs or is fouled. VariTab definitely eliminates this phenomenon and acts exactly against dirt and bacteria.

Phase 2: Slow disinfection, flocculation and hardness stabilizer

• The white lower pebble is a slow dissolving pebble and it acts between 1 to 2 weeks against bacteria, viruses and fungi. After the shock chlorination, this ensures continuous disinfection, extending over the entire duration of dissolution. At the same time, VariTab continuously releases flocculants eliminating the finest turbidity particles. The water  therefore is lighter clearly. The additional hardness stabilizer combats calcareous taint.

The result:

The VariTab bi-layer roller, with its particularly effective combination of long-lasting shock disinfection, therefore offers double safety in hygiene. In addition, the sand filter is disinfected and cleaned with every appliance of the product. VariTab not only makes the water superficially lighter, it also makes it clean.

Guidance:

1. Adjust the pH between 7.0 and 7.4.
2. Place the correct amount of pebbles in the skimmer's basket. Double the dose for a start.
3. Optimal value of chlorine: between 0.5 and 1 mg/L (1.5 mg/l in case of high temperatures).

Recommendations: Allow the pump to run for at least 12 hours. Large quantities may be required in hot weather or heavy use of the pool.

Warnings: Never mix different chemicals in concentrated form. Always add the product to the water and never the opposite. Never put directly into contact with a fragile coating (liner, paint, etc.): there are risks of discoloration and degradation of covering.

Dosage:

• Recommended dosage: 1 pebble per 25-30m3.
  
• Place of dosage of the product: inside the skimmer.
  
• Filter type: sand filter.
  
• Dosing frequency: every 7 to 10 days.
